The Nanda Jinapor Foundation has embarked on a free medical screening outreach programme at Achubunyor, a community in the West Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region.
The benevolent exercise forms part of the Foundation's objective of preventing diseases and reducing the cost of health care treatment for people of the area.
Over four hundred locals in Achubunyor and neighbouring communities such as Jonokponto, Mempeasem, Soalepe and Bonyanto showed up for the outreach with varying medical conditions.
They were screened and given various drugs for their ailments for free. Also, they educated on cervical cancer by medical experts.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, Naada Jinapor expressed joy at the massive turn out for the programme.
She explained that the underlying goal of the Foundation is to make available, quality health care to the less privileged in society.
She further stated that her Foundation intends to extend the outreach to other communities as it has done in the past.
Mrs. Naada Jinapor who is the wife of the Member of Parliament for Damongo thanked the chiefs and people of the area for the opportunity to serve them.
A cross section of the beneficiaries in an interview expressed their appreciation to Mrs. Naada Jinapor for her benevolence.
"There's absolutely nothing you can do without health and we would like to thank her for having our wellbeing at her heart. I have been given free drugs for my ailment after a successful screening", said Amina Kasanuma Abukari.
"For her to organise this free medical screening for us is an indication that our wellbeing is paramount to her and her husband. The outreach programme she brought to us is a lifesaver and may God bless her", said madam Jinche Lange.
Kipo Yakubu, the assembly member for the area on behalf of the people conveyed words of gratitude to the Foundation and promised that, they will repay her by supporting her husband, Samuel Abdulai Jinapor.
