Where are the projects you cut sods for in Savannah? - NDC asks Bawumia as he attends Damba

The National Democratic Congress in the Savannah region wants Vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to give an update of projects he and the president cut sods for in the Savannah region as he attends the 2023 Damba festival of Yagbonwura Bii-Kunutu Jewu Soale I in Damongo.

The Vice President is leading government's delegation to the festival which is being climaxed today at the Jakpa Palace.

In a welcome message signed by the Savannah Regional communications officer of the NDC, R. A. Jalil, the party said they are waiting for an update on projects for which sods have been cut by the government for years or abandoned projects of the previous government.

Of particular mention are the Damongo Water project, the Daboya bridge, the Savannah Regional House of chiefs offices, the Busunu-Daboya Road, why patients are receiving treatment under trees in the North Gonja District among others.

*NDC S/R WELCOMES VICE PRESIDENT BAWUMIA TO YAGBONWURA’S DAMBA--- THE TEN QUESTIONS BEGGING FOR ANSWERS*

Today, the whole of Kegbanye (the Gonjaland Kingdom) is in Damongo to participate and support fully the maiden Damba celebration of Jirah Yagbonwura Jewu Soale Mbema Bii-Kunuto I, the Overlord of the Gonjaland traditional area.

And the National Democratic Congress Savanna region has already picked a notice of attendance of the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, as the special guest of honor for this maiden Damba celebration of Jirah in Damongo.

While we sincerely welcome him into the region as a senior government representative, its our belief --as a Vice President of the Republic and a party member aspiring to lead his party into the 2024 general elections-- he has already been briefed on the state of projects he and his boss (Nana Addo) cut sods for in the region many years ago.

While awaiting to hear the states of the projects from his brief, we are particularly interested in the whereabouts or current state of the following projects in the Savannah region through answers to the following questions;

1. Where is the Damongo water project he promised the people of Damongo in 2018 after truncating the contract signed by the erstwhile John Mahama government.

2. Where is the Daboya bridge he promised the people of North Gonja in August 2021?

3. Where is the regional house of chiefs' building you cut sod for in 2020?

4. Why is the Busunu-Daboya road still in a deplorable state after funds were made available by the erstwhile John Mahama government and why is the contractor not being paid to go back to site?

5. What is the state of the Salaga -Makango road and why are works slowing on it

6. Why is the fufulso-Sawla road not being maintained after almost 7 years of being in office?

7. Why has your government abandoned the Bole teacher training college started by H.E John Mahama.

8. Why are patients in the North Gonja district having health care under trees.

9. What is the state of the Bole township roads after funds were made available by the erstwhile John Mahama government?

10. What is the state of the East Gonja municipal hospital?.

As Gonjas troop to the Jakpa palace to celebrate with their overlord, we equally leave the above (10) basic questions for them to ponder over and judge, as we wait for the the Vice President's response if any.
