Kurabaso Junior High School "A", representing the Damongo South Circuit, outshone competitors from five other circuits to clinch the prestigious title at the 2024 West Gonja Municipal Annual Science and Maths Quiz competition.

This year's event, held under the theme "Women and Girls in Science Leadership: A New Era for Sustainability," highlighted the imperative of empowering women and girls to assume leadership roles in the domains of science and mathematics.

Addressing attendees, the Municipal Education Director accentuated the invaluable contributions of women and girls to the scientific and mathematical field.

He emphasized the theme as a call to action, urging active participation and leadership from women and girls. Advocating for the dissolution of stereotypes and biases, he envisioned a future where gender is not a barrier to success in STEM careers and leadership positions.
