At a ceremony held on Thursday, February 15, 2024 to commission a regional office complex for the National Health Insurance Authority in Damongo, the Savannah Regional Minister, Saeed Muahazu Jibril, emphasized the importance of proper maintainace of the new facility.
Speaking at the event, the minister urged the management of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) to ensure the facility is well taken care of to serve the region well.
The inauguration and handing over of the facility to the NHIAmanagement in the region saw the Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Insurance Authority and minister designate for health, Dr. Bernard Okoe-Boye in attendance with other members of the NHIA management.
Mr. Muhazu thanked the government on behalf of the residents of the Savannah region for the many infrastructure projects the region has received in recent times, adding that the development being witnessed is a result of the creation of the Savannah Region.
He thus urged staff of the authority who will use the office complex to ensure it it properly maintained.
The event marked a significant step in strengthening the NHIA to ensure the delivery of quality healthcare services in the Savannah region.
