The problem is not about the manifesto, it is about the messenger,. Bawumia waxed lyrical about how he will transform the economy of Ghana by stabilising the cedi, keep inflation low, reduce borrowing, move from taxation to production, reduce the unemployment rate, reduce cost of credit, reduce cost of living etc and hounded the then vice president with 170 questions. Lectured us on how to manage the economy.
What is the score card after 7 years in charge of the economy.
Cedi is 16 from 4, inflation is at 21%, went to 54% from 15, we are in debt distress, our bonds have been seized, look at interest rate, see cost of living, unemployment is over 20% from about 8%, we can't even count the taxes now, cost of living is unbearable. Which comic indicator to is even equal to what he inherited from late vice president Amissah Arthur?
Today he says next to nothing about the economy. He is cowardly hiding in the cloth of Ursula claiming digitalisation.
Someone should tell me why I should listen to Bawumia again. 4 years after the mess he created, he could not come out with a solution to turn the economy around. Now wants me to believe he has bold solutions he will implement next year.
Why should I have hope in anything he says no matter how good?
Bawumia is a wrong messenger today. He has no credibility.
He lacks good judgment and makes bad choices. If you doubt me, see who he chose as a running mate.
