Politicians who have failed or do not intend to develop people are those that induce electorates with money and items.
That is according to the Member of Parliament for Bole-Bamboi, Alhaji Yusif Sulemana.
The MP made the assertion at a community engagement at Yagbon in the Daboya-Mankarigu constituency of the Savannah region on Wednesday.
According to Alhaji Yusif, politicians whose only way of convincing voters is to share money and make promises they know they can not fulfil has no intention of developing their communities.
He accused the New Patriotic Party of doing so because after eight years in government, they have no development projects to point at in their campaign.
"Development oriented leaders don't share money, cloths, fertiliser, rice, and other items for votes. They point to development projects, especially when they have been in power for eight years."
"That is what the NPP are doing, where is the 1D1F project for Daboya-Mankarigu, where is the 1V1D for Yagbon community, where is the tarred road they promised, there is none so they will only share money and items and say vote for me and do this and that for you."
He wondered why a person in power for 8 years will be promising to do things instead of pointing to them or doing them.
"They are in government and saying vote for us and we will come and do this for you, but you are in power now, why don't you do them now, why didn't you do them for the 8 years that we gave you," he quizzed.
