Bii-Kunuto Educational Fund Supports Needy but Brilliant Students

The Bii-Kunuto Educational Fund has paid admission fees for 54 students who gained admission to tertiary institutions, as announced during a ceremony at the Jakpa Palace on January 24, 2025.


A speech delivered on behalf of Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale I by Soale Dinkeri, Secretary of the Bii-Kunuto Foundation, revealed that most beneficiaries are pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Gonja Education at the University of Education, Winneba. 


The initiative is a strategic effort to revive the declining Gonja Education Department and preserve the Gonja language as a vital part of the kingdom's cultural heritage.


The Foundation also supports underprivileged students, emphasizing its dedication to promoting fairness, empowering the youth, and breaking the cycle of poverty. 


Beneficiaries were urged to work hard, pursue excellence, and uphold the kingdom's legacy as ambassadors of the Gonja Kingdom.


Yagbonwura used the opportunity to extended his appreciation to the donors, including former President John Dramani Mahama, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Dr. Mohammed Amin Anta, the National Investment Bank, MTN Ghana, and Navro-Pio Pe Denis Aneakwoa Balinia Adda Asagpaare II, for their generous contributions.


Mohammed Shaibu Bukari, speaking on behalf of the students, conveyed words of appreciation to the foundation and assured them that their support would not go in vain, promising to make Gonjaland proud.
