Chief Imam of Larabanga pays courtesy call on Yagbonwura

 

The Chief Imam of Larabanga, Alhaji Mumuni Mahama Zankawah has on Monday 27th March 2023 paid a courtesy call on Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale I at his residence in Damongo. 

The Chief Imam of the community which has the famous ancient mosque said he had come with all 4 clan heads and 12 gates of Larabanga to pledge their support for the Yagbonwura and to pray with him for Allah's protection and guidance as he assume the new role of being the leader of traditional governance in Gonja.

Various Imams from Larabanga as well as the Yagbonwura Imam led prayers for protection, guidance, property, peace among others during the reign of the new Yagbonwura. 

The Imams also recited aspects of the quran at the residence of the Yagbonwura.
