He made the announcement at a stakeholder consultative dialogue with the necessary key players in football development within the Damongo Constituency on Thursday, 12th October 2023, at the Community Centre.
Mr. Jinapor said, " I want to thank all football authorities, the local organizing committees, clubs for this all-important and historic session, It is my hope that we help develop our Constituency through football. Many communities like Nima have made it through football, and I believe we can also get sports development in our Constituency."
He continued that " By the end of this year, I would provide a bus to run activities of clubs in the constituency, I would also provide quality jerseys and quality football boots to clubs. But my hope is that we would have a united strong team in the Damongo Constituency called Damongo Stars so that all teams would still be in existence, but we pick best players and coaches to manage the Damongo stars team."
"Again, acquiring an amalgamated one strong team in Damongo to be a super top club would make it easier to deploy more resources to help it achieve it goals."
"I would also look to improve the capacity of coaches and assist them in attending key workshops in enhancing the work."
He added that, as an Mp, many teams and individuals have visited him to solicit funds to help the activities of their clubs which he provided.
He pledged to help the football authorities to revamp juvenile football in the Constituency whilst promoting education.
He assured the people of Busunu and Canteen that they would get an AstroTurf before the year ends in 2023.
Lawyer Samuel Abdulai Jinapor also stated that female football is as important as male football, hence charged the committee to help strengthen and empower women football in the beloved Constituency.
He however stated that without unity, he can not solve all the underlying issues hampering football development in the Damongo Constituency.
