NPP inaugurate office in Savannah Region

 

The New Patriotic Party in the Savannah Region has inaugurated a regional party office ahead of the party's presidential primaries slated for November 4, 2023.


The commissioning of the edifice took place in Damongo on Saturday, October 29, 2023.


The office block henceforth will, among other other things be a converging point where plans will be hatched for electoral victories over its rivals in the region.


Speaking with confidence at the event, the regional chairman of the party, Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana revealed that the interim, the office would be used as the campaign office of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.


He assured Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of an overwhelming victory in the Savannah Region on the October 4 presidential primaries of the party.


"Bawumia is the surest bet going into the 2024 general elections and here in the Savannah Region, he is going to be given over 95% endorsement", said the regional chairman. 

Kalamonia as he is widely known further stated that the office complex would be used as the regional collation centre for the flag bearership elections.


The regional chairman also charged the rank and file of the party in the region to take steps to resolve their differences and present a formidable force into 2024.


Dr. Achanso Sulemana, the Savannah Regional campaign coordinator for Dr. Bawumia averred that the party in the region is rooting for Bawumia because he is the only candidate who can "break the 8".


This he said will manifest on Saturday, October 4 when delegates of the party goes to the polls to elect a new leader of the party.


According to him, the Savannah Region will advance greatly in terms of development under the presidency of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.


Women's Organizer of the party in Savannah Region, Miss Fatahia Mohammed also in an interview indicated that the women front are solidly behind the candidature of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. 


In her view, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's victory in the impending primaries will set the tone for Muslims in the party to aspire for higher political positions in the country. 


Miss Fatahia therefore appealed to the women front in the region to come all out in their numbers on the day of the election to endorse Dr. Bawumia.


The inaugural ceremony of the office had party officers across the region in attendance.
