Coach of Damongo based Division Two Side Mole Nationals Football Club, Akwesi Soale "Appiah" has written to the management of his team to grant him an extended 90 days leave
In a letter dated 10th November 2023, the gaffer indicated that he would like to be granted a three months extended break to fix or solve family problems. This came as a surprise to Management, players and supporters of the team.
Many have attributed his decision to a bitter exit of Mole Nationals Fc in this year's MTN FA Cup preliminary stage exit in Tamale at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, after supporters lamented and questioned his approach and tactics of his side's loss to Tamale Kasalgu Arrow Heads.
It is believed that Coach Akwesi Soale was summoned to management meetings to seek answers about his teams display in the MTN FA Cup preliminary exit. Our sources can confirm that the said meeting went well as both disagreed and agreed on certain decisions.
Plans are far advanced by the senior players of Mole Nationals Fc to approach Coach Akwesi Soale to either recend his decision or reduce the number of days he requested and find a lasting solution to his current stance.
Management of Damongo based Division Two Side Mole Nationals Football Club are yet to either grant or decline him his wish even though Coach Akwesi Soale has since stopped his role even before the management could respond to his request. Meanwhile, plans are far advanced from management to get the team more technical men to support them and prepare them adequately for the start of the Northern region men's division two league.
Yussif Ewuntomah Rayanu, Amin Nuhu Alawu, and Coach Abubakari are possible names mentioned to team up and take up training sessions.
