Two juvenile football players from the Bole and the North Gonja Districts in the Savannah Region of Ghana have been given call-up to the Blackstarlets provisional squad pending an MRI scan.
Abukari Ibrahim, alias Kaka, who is a left back defender and plays for Bole Soccer Heroes and Abukari Sadat from Daboya shooting stars are currently in Accra for an MRI scan after their maiden call up to the starlets provisional team.
If both players go through the MRI scan successfully, they will be going to camp and eventually represent Ghana.
Residents in the Savannah Region are rejoicing, and keeping hopes alive as they believe the two young talented players will not just add up to the numbers at camp but will play a crucial role in helping Ghana at the juvenile level.
The Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI) is a noninvasive medical imaging test that produces detailed images of almost every internal structure in the human body, including the organs, bones, muscles, and blood vessels. MRI scanners create images of the body using a large magnet and radio wave.
Meanwhile, many people have thanked the GFA/NRFA Juvenile players scout for zone (2), Mr Alhassan Abdul Rahman Nyariba, who doubles as chairman of the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District Football Association for scouting the Young talents.
The first phase of screening for the Black Starlets is currently ongoing, with selected players expected to go through the mandatory Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan this week.
The pre-camping MRI screening is to ensure that only qualified players report to the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence at Prampram for camping. Players in the first two batches were settled upon by the technical team following a national scouting exercise across the ten football regions.
Players who successfully go through this phase (MRI test) will then proceed to the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence at Prampram for training/camping.
The under listed players are to report to the MD Lancet – Quest Medical Imaging Centre at East Legon with their weighing cards or any acceptable national identification card to confirm their credentials.
