During the Friday broadcast of Kasha FM's "Ashumaa Savannah" morning show on March 29, 2024, Karim Musah Kusubari, the Municipal Chief Executive of the West Gonja Municipal Assembly, unveiled plans for the construction of six strategically selected roads within the municipality.

These designated roads are the Almanara to SAGIS Road, Boroto Road, and Sor No.1 Road, Morning Star school to fertiliser depot road among others.

Karim Musah Kusubari emphasized the importance of these infrastructure developments, highlighting their key role in enhancing connectivity and accessibility throughout the municipality.

Specifically according to him, the SAGIS Cemetery Road will undergo comprehensive construction and will be tiled from the Galamsy station to Sagis, ensuring a durable and smooth surface for daily commuters and transport vehicles.

Similarly, Sor No.1 Road is scheduled for tiling up to a specified level to improve movement for farmers and communities along the route.

However, Broto Road is set to undergo graveling, as per the current plans. He said

The contract for these essential projects has been awarded to "Mawums Construction Ltd"., a reputable construction firm known for its proven track record of successful projects. The construction team is already mobilized and ready to commence work promptly.

The MCE expressed confidence in Mawums Construction Ltd.'s ability to deliver these road improvements efficiently and effectively, ensuring timely completion and high-quality outcomes.

This initiative forms part of broader municipal efforts aimed at enhancing transportation infrastructure and contributing significantly to economic growth and overall development in the municipality.

The initiation of these road construction projects is attributed to the lobbying efforts of Hon. Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor, the member of parliament for the Damongo constituency.
