UDS Celebrates 5th Anniversary in Daboya with First Durbar

The Management and Students Representative Council (SRC) of the University for Development Studies (UDS) Daboya Study Center marked their 5th anniversary with a weeklong celebration under the theme, "Celebrating Excellence, Empowering Unity: 5 Years of Resilience and SRC Week Fiesta."


The celebration kicked off with the first-ever durbar held at the Daboya Study Center. 


Dr. Maskwel Gidisu, Deputy Director of UDS IDCL, spoke to the media during the event, outlining the activities planned for the week. 


He commended the SRC for their ambitious projects aimed at enhancing the university's reputation in Daboya.


Hon. Redbawa, the District Chief Executive for North Gonja District, served as the guest of honor.

In his address, he encouraged the students to dedicate themselves to their studies, emphasizing the importance of resilience and problem-solving skills in overcoming challenges and achieving success.


Since its establishment in 2018, the UDS Institute for Distance and Continuing Learning Center has graduated approximately 180 student teachers who now serve Daboya and its surrounding areas. 


The institution continues to play a crucial role in developing skilled professionals for the region.
