Savannah Region, Ghana – On Wednesday, July 17, 2024, Yagbonwura BiiKunuto Jewu Soale I, the King and overlord of the Gonja Kingdom, supervised the ongoing construction of the Savannah Regional House of Chiefs.
The Yagbonwura’s visit aimed to gather firsthand information on the project's progress.
During the visit, site engineer Mr. Ibrahim Adam stated that the House of Chiefs office is being constructing under the Ministry of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, with Vulcan Holdings Ghana Ltd. as the contractor.
The project, a two-story building, will feature a 150-seat auditorium, offices for the Yagbonwura’s secretary, the vice president, the president, a refreshment area, and bungalows for the registrar and other staffs.
Currently in the sub-structure stage (foundation), the project is expected to be completed by September 2025, with a timeline of eighteen months.
Mr. Adam expressed gratitude for the Yagbonwura’s visit and requested his blessings and prayers for the safety and success of the workers.
The Yagbonwura, is overwhelmed with the progress, asked his Imams to offer prayers for the protection of the workers on site.
