On August 27, former President John Dramani Mahama, the Presidential Candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), visited the Ashaiman community as part of his Greater Accra campaign tour.
During his visit, Mahama engaged with a passionate crowd and reaffirmed his commitment to the development of Ashaiman.
He promised to create job opportunities for the youth in both the Tema and Ashaiman areas and to address infrastructure needs by pledging to repair all inner roads in Ashaiman.
Mahama also reiterated his pledge to recover state properties allegedly misappropriated by officials of the current New Patriotic Party (NPP) government, as outlined in the NDC's manifesto.
He highlighted his own transparency and cooperation with investigations, asserting that NPP officials should similarly account for their actions once power is transferred to the NDC.
The charged crowd in Ashaiman expressed their appreciation to H.E John Dramani Mahama for his visit and promised to give the NDC a resounding victory in the 2024 general Elections.
