Malik Basintale, Deputy Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has urged voters to reject the "skirt and blouse" voting pattern in the December 2024 elections.
He called on the electorate to rally their support fully behind both John Dramani Mahama for president and the NDC’s parliamentary candidate, Hon. Garlus, to ensure unified leadership in both the constituency and the country.
Basintale delivered his appeal on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at a mini-rally in Busunu in the Damongo Constituency.
The event aimed to mobilize the youth and boost morale among the NDC faithful in the lead-up to the general election.
Speaking to supporters in Busunu and surrounding areas, Basintale emphasized the importance of voting responsibly.
He urged voters to resist the temptation to "sell their votes" and instead choose leaders committed to the development of their constituency and Ghana as a whole.
Reflecting on the results of the previous election, Basintale likened the decision to replace Hon. Garlus with Samuel Abu Jinapor to "exchanging a color television for black and white."
He advised constituents not to repeat what he termed as a "mistake," expressing confidence that Hon. Garlus would bring meaningful progress to the Damongo Constituency.
The NDC continues its campaign in the Damongo Constituency, seeking to secure a unified mandate for the December polls.
