The development of any community and a country at large is strongly linked to the progressive development and empowerment of its students, who represent the next generation of entrepreneurs, leaders, innovators, and professionals. Our tertiary institutions are the hub for future intellectuals and professional brains. As leaders across the world are prioritising the development of education in their respective communities, the Honourable MP for Damongo Constituency is on the opposite.
It is deeply troubling to witness how Samuel Abu Jinapor is neglecting tertiary students in his constituency. One would have expected much investment in education across Damongo Constituency on the premise that the Honorable MP is a youth and as such, he would champion youth development through education. But he seem to be more interested in sharing out small sums of money to our old folks rather than addressing the critical needs of students pursuing higher education.
Whereas Honorable Garlus in his 8 years as an MP has consistently secured scholarships and several financial support to students from basic to tertiary institutions, Jinapor has failed to provide any meaningful assistance in this regard. His priorities are misplaced, he has against wise counsel, elected to be distributing GHS 100 to the constituents instead of channeling those funds towards easing the burden of tuition and other educational expenses for students.
More disheartening is the fact that, the few selected students who are biasly selected on party lines are given a paltry GHC 500 in this current economic situation where school fees are on the rise. His actions suggest a lack of genuine concern for the future of our youth, while promoting unhealthy habits and socially condemnable behaviours by distributing alcohol, contributing to addiction among young people in our community.
Jinapor’s approach is not only short-sighted but also destructive, as it undermines the future of our next generation. The people of Damongo deserve a representative who truly cares about their development and is committed to securing a better future for all. Therefore, I urge the people of Damongo to vote massively for His Excellency John Dramani Mahama and his younger brother, Honorable Garlus, who have demonstrated their commitment to developing the educational potentials of the Ghanaian youth.
A vote for the NDC is a vote for the implementation of Free Level 100 Fees initiative in all tertiary institutions in Ghana. This policy will alleviate the financial burden on students and parents as the go about their academic work.
The operationalisation of the famous 24-hour economy will further put money in the pockets of both parents and the Ghanaian Youth.
As December 7th approaches, if Abu Jinapor comes with his money, take it and use it, but remember where the is a free entry into a tertiary institutions of your choice for the first year, remember a future Ghana with a 24-hour economy where unemployment will be a thing of the past. As the people of Assin North demonstrated in their by election, make wise decisions for your future by Voting for JDM and Garlus as president and member of parliament for a better Ghana.
Arise for the future of our youth and the prosperity of Damongo.
Arise for impactful change to reset Ghana.
Word to the wise is enough.
Thank you.
Your humble servant,
Dr. Shark
Deputy savannah Regional Tein coordinator.
