National Cyclist James Kumbini Pays Courtesy Call on Damongowura

National cyclist James Kumbini, with his management team, paid a courtesy call on the Paramount Chief of the Damongo Traditional Area, Damongowura Seidu Boresa Kelly (I), as part of his nationwide tour.

During the visit on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, Kumbini's manager highlighted his journey across northern Ghana, which has seen him visit the Upper West, Northern, and now the Savannah Region.

His tour included a stop in Yendi, where he paid a similar visit to the King and Overlord of Dagbon, Ndan Yaa-Naa Abukari (II), before passing through Tamale and Daboya route to Damongo.

Speaking at the palace, Kumbini's manager, Mr. John, commended the people of Gonjaland for their warm hospitality.

He outlined the objectives of the tour, emphasizing its focus on fostering peaceful coexistence among the five northern regions and raising awareness about climate change.

He revealed that James Kumbini intends to embark on a cycling journey to Morocco in connection with the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.

He, therefore, sought the blessings of the Damongowura for this endeavor.

He also took the opportunity to appreciate the media for their continuous support in amplifying their message throughout the tour.
