The Savannah Regional Minister, Hon. Salisu Bi-Awurbi Esq., has reaffirmed his commitment to safeguarding the lands of the Wasipe Traditional Area, assuring that no portion will be taken under his tenure.
During a visit to the palace of Wasipewura Anyame Kabasagya II on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, the minister emphasized his dedication to protecting the territorial integrity of the Gonja people.
"Yiram Wasipewura, as the Savannah Regional Minister, I am here to ensure the security of your land. Not even a spoonful of it will be taken away," he assured.
Wasipewura Anyame Kabasagya II welcomed the minister’s remarks with optimism and extended his best wishes.
As a gesture of appreciation, the minister was presented with a traditional Gonja smock, symbolizing the region’s rich cultural heritage.
