Damongo College of Agriculture Holds 25th Graduation Ceremony

 



The Damongo College of Agriculture and Allied Sciences has held its 25th graduation ceremony, honouring 109 students for their academic achievements across various disciplines.


The event, held at the West Gonja Municipal Assembly Hall in Damongo, April 24, 2025, saw five students graduate with First Class, 19 with Second Class Upper, 31 with Second Class Lower, 23 with Third Class, and 31 with a Pass.


Mr. Damba Francis Madank was adjudged the overall best graduating student, while Madam Hidaya Hashim emerged as the best female graduate.


In her keynote address, Ing. Professor Linda Dari from the University for Development Studies commended the graduates for their dedication and urged them to apply their knowledge in advancing innovation, sustainability, and food security in Ghana. 


She also called on government to support the college with monthly stipends, job placement opportunities, improved infrastructure, and transportation.


Other dignitaries who graced the occasion included the Savannah Regional Coordinating Director, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for West Gonja, traditional leaders, and officials from the College’s administration.



The College's leadership appealed to traditional authorities to help protect the school’s land from encroachment, stressing the need for a safe and supportive environment for academic growth.


Graduates were encouraged to be ambassadors of positive change, contributing meaningfully to national development through their fields of expertise.
