This appeal came as Hon. Mutawakilu congratulated Hon. Castro on his nomination, which was officially made by H.E. John Dramani Mahama on April 4, 2025.
Hon. Mutawakilu urged all aspirants who contested for the MCE position to put the interest of the NDC above personal ambitions and throw their full support behind Hon. Castro. According to him, such unity is vital for the party’s success, both locally and nationally.
"There are other positions yet to be filled by H.E. John Dramani Mahama. While it's unrealistic for everyone to get appointed, I believe that in due time, everyone will be settled.
Let’s work together to ensure the President succeeds and when he does, the benefits will trickle down to all of us," he emphasized.
Hon. Yakubu Yussif Castro is a respected senior member of the NDC with a long history of service to the party in various capacities.
He played a significant role in the party’s 2024 general election campaign, particularly in support of Hon. Mutawakilu.
His commitment saw him engage in extensive door-to-door campaigns across the constituency, a gesture Hon. Mutawakilu deeply appreciates.
