NDA CEO Pledges to Fulfill SADA’s Mandate, Seeks Overlord’s Blessings

The Chief Executive Officer of the Northern Development Authority (NDA), Dr. Emmanuel Abeere-inga, has reaffirmed his commitment to realizing the original vision of the Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA), the agency’s predecessor.

During a courtesy visit to the Overlord of the Gonja Kingdom, Dr. Abeere-inga expressed gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for appointing him to lead the NDA.

He noted that his experience as a former active member of SADA uniquely positions him to implement strategic initiatives aimed at transforming Northern Ghana.

“This appointment is an honour and a call to duty. I am back to accomplish the very objectives for which SADA was created,” Dr. Abeere-inga stated.

He added that the visit was to seek the Overlord’s blessings and to request that he convey his appreciation to the President.

Outlining his vision, the CEO said he has identified key development challenges in the region, including poverty, unemployment, and a lack of industrialization.

He announced plans to launch the NDA’s industrialization drive in Damongo, the seat of the Overlord, as a symbolic and strategic starting point.

Though resource constraints remain, Dr. Abeere-inga disclosed that the Authority is engaging potential investors with the full backing of the President.

He also appealed to the Overlord for support in providing land for future development projects.

In response, the King assured the CEO of his full support, stating that his “hands are widely open” to him and his team.

He also offered prayers for the CEO’s success in delivering on the President’s vision of resetting the nation’s development agenda.
