The Savannah Regional Minister, Hon. Salisu Be-Awuribe Esq., on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, inspected ongoing infrastructure projects in the North East Gonja District as part of his routine working visits across the region.

The Minister visited the site of an emergency steel bridge under construction over the River Jollo along the Dagbogshie–Buhija feeder road.

He also assessed progress on the Dalogtili–Buhija road project.

During the inspection, Hon. Be-Awuribe urged contractors to speed up work on the projects, highlighting their significance to local farming communities.

“Early completion will ease the transportation burden on our farmers and enhance access to markets,” he said.

He reaffirmed government’s commitment to equitable development, stressing that the administration of President John Dramani Mahama is determined to leave a lasting legacy in the region.

“I will personally monitor all projects in the region to ensure value for money and timely delivery.

I am ready to break every barrier and cross every bridge to ensure the Savannah Region gets its fair share of the national cake,” he declared.

The Minister also appealed to development partners to prioritize the Savannah Region in their interventions, noting the wide developmental gap still exists.

Hon. Be-Awuribe concluded his visit with a courtesy call on the Chief of Buhija, where he reiterated government’s commitment to connecting all critical roads in the region to facilitate the movement of people and goods.
