Dr. Abutu Kapori has been elected as the National Secretary of the Ghana National Association of Farmers and Fishermen (GNAFF), following a decisive victory over his sole contender, Mr. Nachirata Dawuda.
The election took place in Kumasi on Saturday, 12th July 2025, bringing together delegates from across the country to choose new national executives for the association.
Out of a total of 136 valid votes cast, Dr. Kapori polled 76, while Mr. Dawuda garnered 60.
Dr. Kapori, who previously served as the Savannah Regional Chairman of GNAFF, is widely respected for his leadership and commitment to advancing the interests of farmers and fishermen.
His track record at the regional level is believed to have played a key role in his election to the national executive position.
He thanked the delegates for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to work diligently to promote the interests of members and strengthen the association at the national level.
