NDESCO Students Present Manifestos for 2025/2026 Prefectship Elections

 


 

Students of Ndewura Jakpa Senior High/Technical School (NDESCO) gathered at the school assembly grounds on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, to witness the presentation of manifestos by candidates vying for various prefectship positions for the 2025/2026 academic year.

 

A total of twelve students aspiring for leadership roles took turns to outline their vision and goals for the school. 


Positions contested included School Prefect, Girls' Prefect, and Dining Hall Prefect. 


Four students are competing for the Dining Hall Prefect role, five for Girls’ Prefect, and three for School Prefect.

 

In accordance with school policy, some positions such as House Prefect, Health Prefect, Entertainment Prefect, Grounds Prefects among others are filled without manifesto presentations.

 

Chairman of the program, Mr Aremu Baba Tunde Philip commended the aspirants for their courage and clarity in sharing their ambitions. 


In his closing remarks, he explained that the purpose of the manifesto session was to provide an avenue for candidates to present their plans and enable students to make informed choices during the elections.

 

He urged the student body to vote for candidates who have the school’s best interests at heart and who are capable of promoting discipline, academic excellence, and the positive image of the school within the Savannah Region and beyond.

 

He concluded by wishing all aspirants success in the elections and encouraged them to be responsible and visionary leaders if entrusted with the opportunity to serve.
