West Gonja MCE Urges Youth to Celebrate Responsibly as He Extends Christmas and New Year Goodwill Message

 




The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the West Gonja Municipality, Mr. Yakubu Yussif Castro, on Monday,22nd December,2025, extended his warm Christmas and New Year greetings to the people of the municipality, while urging residents, particularly the youth to celebrate responsibly during the festive season.


In a goodwill message to mark the Christmas and New Year festivities, Mr. Castro acknowledged all residents of West Gonja Municipality and called on young people to refrain from careless driving, drunkenness, and drug abuse as celebrations heighten.


According to him, the lives and well-being of the youth remain a top priority, stressing that their safety and good health are cherished not only by their families but by the municipality as a whole. 


“As we celebrate Christmas and usher in the New Year, we cherish the lives of our young people and value their health and future. I therefore appeal to them to celebrate with caution and responsibility,” he said.


The MCE further prayed for peace, unity, and harmony to continue prevailing in homes and communities across the municipality, noting that these values are essential for development and social cohesion.


Mr. Castro also called on divine guidance and protection for the West Gonja Municipality and Ghana at large, expressing optimism for a stable and prosperous future. “May the good Lord continue to maintain West Gonja Municipality and Ghana as a whole in good shape in the days ahead and for generations to come,” he added.


He concluded by commending residents for their contributions to the growth and peace of the municipality and wished everyone a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
