Bole/Bamboi MP Donates GH¢200,000 to Support Proposed Bole College of Education



The Member of Parliament for Bole/Bamboi and Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Yussif Sulemana, has donated GH¢200,000 to support the establishment of the proposed Bole College of Education.


The donation was made during the 69th Independence Day celebration held on March 6, 2026, in Bole in the Bole Bamboi district.


Speaking at the event, Hon. Yussif Sulemana emphasized the transformative power of education, noting that it played a key role in shaping his life despite coming from a family with no formal educational background. 



He reaffirmed his commitment to expanding educational opportunities for young people in the Bole/Bamboi constituency.


As part of ongoing interventions in the education sector, the MP disclosed that more than 4,000 chairs and 4,000 tables have recently been distributed to schools across the district, with Bole Senior High School alone receiving over 2,000 chairs and 2,000 tables.


He also announced plans for major infrastructure development at Bole Senior High School, including the renovation of the administration block, construction of boys’ and girls’ dormitories, an ICT laboratory, a modern assembly hall, and a four-unit teachers’ accommodation.


Hon. Sulemana further revealed that the Tinga Senior High School project has been awarded to Mamums Company Limited, adding that the President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, is expected to cut sod for the construction of a STEM school in Tinga. 


Work on the Bole College of Education project has also been awarded to the same company, with construction expected to commence soon.


In addition, the MP announced plans to construct Astro Turfs in Tinga, Bandakunta, and Bamboi to promote sports development in the district. He also donated GH¢50,000 to support the Bole Under-13 team that will represent the Savannah Region in the Milo Games in Techiman.



Hon. Sulemana also disclosed plans to establish a GH¢1 million Educational Support Fund from his personal savings to assist brilliant but needy students in the constituency, regardless of political affiliation. He further assured residents that plans are underway to construct a new hospital in Bole and improve town roads in the municipality.


Earlier, the Bole District Director of Education, Mr. Richard Achinani Sepaga, highlighted the significance of Ghana’s independence declared on March 6, 1957, under the leadership of Kwame Nkrumah. He urged residents to maintain peace to support effective human capital development through education.



Mr. Sepaga also commended several schools in the district for improved academic performance in the 2025 BECE and WASSCE examinations and praised teachers and parents for their commitment to improving educational outcomes.


A speech delivered by the District Chief Executive, Mr Abdulai Mahmud, on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama emphasized that Ghana’s independence represents not only political freedom but also the courage, sacrifice, and vision of the country’s forebears, with a commitment to economic freedom, social justice, unity, and equal opportunities for all citizens.



The celebration also featured the presentation of awards to outstanding students in the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination. Miss Acheampong Yaa Brago Rekia and Mr. Issah Yidana Theophilus of Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana JHS in Bole were recognized for obtaining aggregates 7 and 8 respectively.



Chairman of the event, Chief Tingawura Abudu Sampson, commended Hon. Sulemana for his continued contributions to the development of the Bole/Bamboi constituency and thanked participants for making the 69th Independence Anniversary celebration successful.
