Bole Bamboi Mp Ignites Hope with Volunteer Teaching Initiative in Bole Bamboi.

The Member of Parliament for the Bole-Bamboi Constituency, Hon. Yussif Sulemana, has announced a community-based teaching initiative aimed at strengthening basic education and creating opportunities for young people in Gbenfu and surrounding communities.

The announcement, made during his working visit to Gbenfu, was not just another routine inspection. It marked the beginning of what many are describing as a transformative intervention aimed at strengthening grassroots education while empowering local youth.

Standing amidst ongoing school renovation works in Gbenfu, Hon. Yussif Sulemana took a moment to reflect on the deeper needs of the community beyond infrastructure. While classrooms are being restored and learning environments improved, he emphasized that human resource support remains equally critical.

It was here that he unveiled his plan to recruit dedicated individuals from within the community to serve as Teaching Assistants bridging the gap between teachers and students, and ensuring that no child is left behind.

Unlike traditional volunteer programs that rely solely on goodwill, this initiative comes with a unique promise. Hon. Yussif Sulemana assured that although the roles are community-driven, selected Teaching Assistants will receive stipends as a token of appreciation for their service.

This approach reflects a thoughtful balance between volunteerism and economic support, recognizing the realities faced by many young people in rural communities while encouraging them to contribute meaningfully to local development.

The initiative is expected to create opportunities for unemployed youth, school leavers, and passionate individuals who have long desired to contribute to education but lacked the platform to do so.

By recruiting locally, the program also ensures cultural familiarity, improved communication, and stronger community ownership of educational outcomes.

In places like Gbenfu, where educational challenges are often intertwined with socio-economic realities, this localized approach could prove to be a game-changer.

Hon. Yussif Sulemana, who also serves as Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, continues to demonstrate that leadership extends beyond policy-making in Accra. His presence on the ground and hands-on engagement with communities signal a leadership style rooted in action, empathy, and accountability.

Residents who witnessed the visit expressed optimism, noting that the combination of infrastructure development and human capital investment shows a deeper understanding of what true development entails.

As the renovation of schools progresses, the introduction of Community Teaching Assistants adds a new dimension to the constituency’s education agenda. It is not just about fixing buildings it is about building futures.

For many in Gbenfu and neighboring communities, this initiative represents hope: hope for better education, hope for youth empowerment, and hope for a future where development is inclusive and community-driven.

This move by Hon. Yussif Sulemana is more than a constituency project it is a model that could inspire similar interventions across Ghana.

By aligning education, employment, and community participation, it sets a precedent for sustainable grassroots development.

As the story unfolds, one thing is clear, in the classrooms of Bole Bamboi Constituency, a quiet revolution is beginning one that places the power of change directly into the hands of the people.
