SOLIDARITY MESSAGE AHEAD OF THE NPP CONSTITUENCY EXECUTIVE ELECTIONS

Tomorrow, Saturday 11 July 2026 the NPP goes to the polls to elect its constituency executives. We extend our best wishes to all delegates and contestants and hope the exercise is conducted peacefully, freely, fairly, and transparently.

As the NDC continues to focus on resetting Ghana under the leadership of H.E. John Dramani Mahama, our attention remains on delivering better governance, reviving the economy, investing in infrastructure, and improving the lives of ordinary Ghanaians. The contrast between responsible leadership and the legacy left behind by the previous administration is becoming clearer by the day.

The NPP has an opportunity to demonstrate that it has learned from the mistakes that contributed to its defeat in 2024. Its internal elections should reflect democratic principles rather than the manipulation, division, and winner-takes-all politics that many Ghanaians came to associate with its leadership.

We urge delegates to remain alert, vote according to their conscience, and resist every attempt at intimidation, undue influence, or practices that undermine the credibility of the election. The future of the party should be determined by the genuine will of its delegates, not by backroom deals or entrenched interests.

The Mahama administration has worked to stabilize the economy and create conditions that make life easier for Ghanaians. We trust that delegates will be able to travel safely to participate in the election and return home peacefully.

While the NPP reorganizes itself in opposition, the NDC remains firmly focused on governing and fulfilling the mandate entrusted to us by the Ghanaian people. We are determined to consolidate the gains made so far and continue building a stronger, more prosperous, and more inclusive Ghana.

We wish all contestants well and hope the outcome reflects the true choice of the delegates.
