The Director of the Youth Employment Agency for West Gonja Municipality and Communication team member of the New Patriotic Party for Damongo Constituency, Seidu Arimiyaw has accused former President John Dramani of engaging in cacophonic propaganda regarding the state of Ghana’s economy.
Mr. Arimiyaw said this on Ashumaa Savannah morning show hosted by Ezekiel Abdul Aziz on Kasha 99.5 FM on Monday, April 03, 2023.
He described as untrue, comments made by former President Mahama that Ghanaians are seriously yearning for the return of NDC to rescue them from the economic hardship in the country.
"It is not true that Ghanaians are yearning for the return of the NDC government neither is it the case that they have regretted voting against the NDC in the 2016 and the 2020 elections as the former president wants to hoodwink us into believing", he disagreed.
According to him, a flamboyant economy bequeathed to him was mismanaged beyond remedy and asked Ghanaians never to entrust the affairs of the country into the hands of the former president and the NDC.
He added that Ghanaians, especially the youth experienced worst economic hardships under his reign as president and asserted that even in the midst of the global economic meltdown, Ghanaian students continue to enjoy the free SHS policy and other social intervention policies.
He further stated that the comments made by John Mahama have no chance of passing the test of strict proof and alleged that the former president is growing increasingly desperate for power.
He expressed hope that Ghanaians will renew the mandate of the New Patriotic Party come 2024 for what he christened as the massive developmental projects undertaken across the country.
