The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Small Scale & Industrial Minerals and former deputy minister of the Savannah Region, Samuel Yeyu Tika has beaten the Deputy Health Minister Alhaji Mahama Asei Seini in the NPP parliamentary Primary in the Daboya-Mankarigu constituency.
Mr. Tika pulled 211 votes to beat the incumbent MP who pulled 196 votes in the closely contested election.
This means Mr. Tika will battle former MP for the area Mahama Shaibu Obei of the NDC in the December general elections for the seat.
