We are forced to be disclosing what Mahama does for Jakpa Palace

 

The Member of Parliament for Bole-Bamboi constituency, Alhaji Yusif Sulemana has said recent actions by elements of the New Patriotic Party are forcing them to be disclosing what former President John Dramani Mahama is doing for the Jakpa Palace. 

He said opponents of the former President has made it their trade to denigrate Mr. Mahama in his home region without caring even if the actions denigrate the Jakpa Palace. 

Alhaji Sulemana made the comments in an audio on social media on Monday 13th May 2024.

The ranking member of the Trade and Industry Committee of Parliament in the audio disclosed that Mr. Mahama in a private conversation with the Yagbonwura at the latter's residence promised to deliver a tractor to the Palace when he returns from a trip abroad. 

Though Mr. Mahama is yet to return from the trip and send the tractor to the palace, Alhaji Sulemana said it has become necessary for him to announce it because some people upon hearing the plan has decided to give the Yagbonwura a tractor before Mr. Mahama's own arrives. 

This according to him is to create the impression that Mr. Mahama is only giving the Yagbonwura a tractor because others have done it.

The MP said being a witness of the conversation between the former President and the Yagbonwura, he felt obliged to put the information out and said anyone who doubts can ask the Overlord himself. 

He wondered why people are claiming to be doing things for the Jakpa Palace that they are not doing to their own people. 

He said they were forced to let Gonjaland know that former President Mahama was building a new palace for the Kingdom much to his displeasure. 

"We started working on the new palace long ago but nobody knew it was John Dramani and that was doing it until the sod cutting, it is not what John likes but we are forced to be doing it."
