Residents of Damongo and its surrounding communities now have access to free internet, courtesy of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Damongo Constituency.
Similar WiFi hubs, each with a 5-kilometer coverage radius, are set to be established in Busunu and Laribanga to expand connectivity.
The initiative, spearheaded by Sandapewura Alhaji Mohammed Muniru Limuna and former Member of Parliament Hon. Adam Mutawakilu (Garlus), aims to enhance digital connectivity and support education in the area.
The newly installed free WiFi network extends to residents within a 5-kilometer radius of Kasha FM, providing easy access to the internet for various needs.
Constituents can connect by selecting the network labeled "Hon- Garlus- Free- Internet."
According to the NDC leadership, this initiative is particularly geared towards helping students conduct research for their studies and bridging the digital divide within the community.
The gesture aligns with the party’s commitment to empowering the youth and enhancing development through technology.
They urges residents to take full advantage of this service to improve their learning experiences and access to global resources.
