Bole MP commends Christian leaders for not being divisive

The Member of Parliament for the Bole-Bamboi constituency, Alhaji Yusif Sulemana has commended leaders of the Ghanaian Christian community for not being divisive in this year's campaign.

Alhaji who was speaking at the Presbyterian church in Salaga as part of a campaign tour in the constituency condemned Muslim leaders who are asking Muslims to vote Dr. Bawumia just because he is a Muslim.

He said whiles he condemns such prominent Muslim leaders for making such comments, he commends Christian leaders for not doing the same.

"Muslims and Christians in Ghana has been living together and making decisions together including voting for the good of our communities, this year however, something disturbing is happening."

"I hear some of my own people, prominent Muslim Leaders telling Muslims to vote Bawumia because he one of us, that is very divisive and bad for our country, let's condemn it," he said.

The Bole MP however said he has never heard that from any Christian leader and commended them for that.

"I have never heard any Christian leader saying Christians should vote John Mahama because he is a Christian and we have to commend you for that, because what some of those Muslims are trying to say is that Christians should also vote for John and how many Muslims are we in Ghana?"

Alhaji Yusif urged all Ghanaians, Muslim and Christians alike to choose John Mahama because he is a competent, capable and trustworthy leader.
