Voters in the Salaga Nouth constituency have been urged not to repeat the style they voted in the 2020 elections.
In the 2020 elections, though John Dramani Mahama, the presidential candidate of the NDC, won in the constituency, Alhassan Mumuni lost in the parliamentary election to the NPP.
Speaking at various community engagements in the constituency on Monday, the Member of Parliament for Bole-Bamboi, Alhaji Yusif Sulemana appealed to voters not to repeat same in this year's election.
According to him, voting for John Mahama without his parliamentary candidate is like enskinning a chief, and choosing a linguist you know wants his downfall.
Alhaji Yusif therefore urged them to vote massively for both John Mahama and Alhassan Mumuni to uplift the constituency.
"In the last election, some of you voted skirt and blouse, you voted John Mahama and someone else, that is not good, John Mahama was not happy."
"When you do that, it's like enskinning a chief and choosing a linguist you know wants the chief to fail, they can't work together, so John Dramani Mahama has sent me here today to tell you that he wants Alhassan Mumuni back in parliament," Alhaji Yusif also known as Ori said.
Alhaji Yusif is leading the Savannah Regional youth wing to campaign across the entire Savannah Region.
The team which begun their campaign in the Salaga South constituency on Saturday November 9 will on Tuesday campaign in the Damongo constituency.
