The Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Yusif Sulemana (Ori), has called on government appointees in the Savannah Region to focus on serving the people rather than using their positions for personal gain.
Hon. Sulemana, who is also the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bole-Bamboi, made this appeal during a courtesy visit to the King and Overlord of the Gonja Kingdom, Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale I, at the Jakpa Palace on Sunday, March 16.
The visit was in line with tradition, as he sought the King’s blessings and prayers following his appointment and swearing-in as Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources.
He emphasized that before assuming his full responsibilities, its important to seek the guidance and protection of the Overlord.
He upheld his commitment to delivering on his mandate, assuring Yagbonwura that he and his colleagues would work diligently to meet the expectations of President John Dramani Mahama, the people of the Savannah Region, and the nation as a whole.
He expressed gratitude to the King for his support and thanked President Mahama for the confidence reposed in him and other appointees to serve the nation.

The minister was accompanied by NDC Savannah Regional Chairman Man Blessing, Regional Minister Hon. Salisu Bi-Awurbi, Regional Youth Organizer Alhaji Inusah, Ghana Water Company MD Hon. Adam Mutawakilu, and other party faithful.
