Roads Minister Agbodza inspects work on Damongo town roads, Buipe, Yapei Bridges

Work is progressing steadily on the construction of four(4) major bridges in the Savanna and Northern Regions. The bridges are located at Buipe, Yapei, Daboya and Nawunu.


Hon. Kwame Agbodza, accompanied by Hon. Suhuyini and a team of engineers, inspected the project’s progress on Friday, 11th April, 2025. The Minister also inspected the Binjia-Fufulso road and the Damango town road projects. 



Briefing the media after the inspection of the bridges, Hon. Agbodza said the Buipe and Yapei bridges are vital to the country’s road network as they facilitate the movement of goods and people between the Northern and Southern Regions, as well as neighboring landlocked countries. 


Hon. Agbodza expressed satisfaction with the progress of work and assured the Chiefs and people of the area of government’s commitment to completing the bridges. 


Hon. Agbodza is on a 4-day road inspection tour of the Northern, North East, Savannah, Upper East and Upper West Regions. 


During the tour, the Minister is expected to pay a courtesy call on the Yaa Naa and inspect major road projects in these regions, including the Sawla-Wa road, Wa-Bolgatang-Tamale road, the Nalerigu-Tamale road, the Wapuli Bridge, the Tamale-Yendi-Tatale road as well as the Tamale ring roads.
