Media Personality Ananpansah Bartholomew Abraham eyes Savannah NDC Deputy Secretary role with grassroots experience and renewed vision

Renowned media practitioner, communicator, and grassroots political mobilizer, Ananpansah Bartholomew Abraham (popularly known as AB), has officially declared his intention to contest for the position of Savannah Regional Deputy Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), subject to the opening of nominations by the party.

His declaration follows what he describes as “deep reflection and extensive consultations” with party faithful, stakeholders, and grassroots members across the Savannah Region.

Honourable Ananpansah Abraham, who is currently an experienced and long-serving Assemblyman for the Canteen Electoral Area in the West Gonja Municipal Assembly in Damongo, the Savannah Regional Capital, is widely known for his active role in local governance, community advocacy, political communication, and grassroots mobilization across the region.

AB, who has built a strong reputation within the media and political communication landscape of the region, says his decision is inspired by years of active service, commitment to party growth, and a strong desire to contribute meaningfully toward strengthening the administrative and organizational structures of the NDC in Savannah Region.

“For God, Country, and Party, I believe the time has come to rise to the responsibility before us,” he stated.

Over the years, AB has served the NDC in several strategic capacities, earning recognition for his loyalty, discipline, and grassroots mobilization efforts within the NDC. His political journey includes serving as a two-term Polling Station Executive, Ag. Ward Coordinator for Canteen Electoral Area, TEIN leader, Lead Researcher for the Damongo Constituency NDC Communications Team, Savannah Regional NDC Communications Committee Member and Communications Team Member, and President of the NDC Teachers Forum (Proforum) in the Savannah Region.

Political observers within the region view his declaration as one backed by practical experience, communication strength, and strong connections with the grassroots.

Beyond his political and media experience, Honourable AB also brings on board a strong academic background. He has recently completed his post Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) programme, a milestone many believe further positions him to appreciate and navigate legal and constitutional matters that may affect the Regional Secretariat and the party at large.

A trained administrator, journalist, communicator, and emerging legal professional, AB believes his blend of media expertise, academic background, and political experience positions him well to support the Regional Secretariat in improving party coordination, communication, grassroots engagement, and internal efficiency ahead of future political contests.

He has pledged to work collaboratively with constituency executives, branch executives, parliamentary candidates, Members of Parliament, and party stakeholders to consolidate the gains of the NDC and help advance the Reset Agenda of John Dramani Mahama across the Savannah Region.

According to him, his ambition is not merely about occupying a position, but about service, accountability, and helping build a stronger and more vibrant party structure that responds to the hopes of ordinary members.

“To the hardworking delegates and rank and file of our great party, I offer myself for service with humility, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to results,” he emphasized.

Honourable Ananpansah Abraham further disclosed that he will, in the coming days, officially outdoor his broader vision and policy direction for the office, outlining strategies aimed at supporting the Regional Secretariat to deliver effectively for both the party and the people.

Ending his declaration on a hopeful note, he called for unity and collective effort toward strengthening the NDC across the Savannah Region.

“Together, let us build a stronger region, vibrant constituencies, active branches, and renewed hope for our people,” he said.

The declaration is already generating conversations among party faithful and political watchers, with many describing his bid as one grounded in experience, communication, loyalty, academic excellence, and grassroots service.
